Qontrk Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Qontrk is an attendance and wage record-keeping app for labour contractors, developed by Arkayen Labs. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use Qontrk.

Unlike FreshTrack, Qontrk stores your records on our servers as well as on your phone. That is what lets your data survive a lost or replaced phone. This policy sets out exactly what that means.

2. Data We Collect

Account information

• If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and Google account ID. We never receive your Google password.
• If you use "Try it out", we collect nothing. The app creates an anonymous account tied only to that installation, with no email, name or phone number.
• If you sign in with a mobile number, we store that number.

Records you enter

• Worker names, and their phone numbers if you choose to add them
• Site names, builder names and addresses
• Daily wage rates
• Daily attendance: full day, half day or absent
• Cash advances and payments you record

Technical information

• Timestamps showing when a record was created or last changed, which is what makes offline syncing work.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or your activity in other apps. Qontrk contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking.

3. Permissions

Qontrk requests only network access, which it needs to sync your records and to sign you in.

It does not request camera, location, contacts, microphone, or photo access.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your records are stored in two places:

• On your phone, in a local database, so that marking attendance works with no signal at all. This is a core feature of the app, not an optional extra.
• On our servers, in a database hosted by Supabase and encrypted in transit.

Access is enforced at the database level so that each account can only ever read or write its own records. One contractor cannot see another contractor's workers, wages or balances.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

We share data only with the providers needed to run the app:

• Supabase for the database, sign-in and hosting
• Google, only if you choose Google sign-in, to confirm who you are

We will disclose data if the law requires it.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete individual records in the app at any time.

To delete your whole account and everything in it, email support@arkayenlabs.com from the address you signed in with, and we will remove it. There is no charge.

Guest accounts created with "Try it out" exist only on the phone that created them. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes access permanently, and we may delete inactive guest accounts and their records.

7. Children's Privacy

Qontrk is a business tool for contractors and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Your Rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@arkayenlabs.com and we will action it.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. We will honour these requests regardless of where you are.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date, and significant changes will be notified in the app.
