Why I Rebuilt Arkayen Labs From Scratch
The old site worked fine, but it didn't represent the kind of work I'm doing now. Here's what I changed and why.
I'm Balaji. This is Arkayen Labs, where I ship Android apps, run AI experiments, build developer tools, and write about what I discover along the way.
Real products, real users. Each started as a personal itch to scratch.
Not everything becomes a product. Some things are pure curiosity.
Exploring how large language models can assist with repetitive development tasks - code review, documentation generation, and architecture analysis. Not trying to replace thinking, just reduce friction.
Documenting and comparing different approaches to structuring Android applications - Clean Architecture, MVI, and simpler alternatives. Testing each pattern with real projects to understand trade-offs.
Built a prototype tool that uses AI to provide initial code review feedback before human review. Focused on catching common patterns, not replacing judgment.
Lessons, experiments, and things I'm figuring out.
I'm open to collaboration on interesting projects, especially around Android apps and AI tooling.
